Destiny 2 guide: Best Warlock Exotic armor
Exotic armor pieces in Destiny 2 can completely change the way you play your class. Unfortunately for Warlocks, almost all of your Exotic armor is boring or bad. However, there are a few great pieces that all of the sub-classes can use and a few others that are subclass specific.
Here are the three best Warlock Exotics for most situations.
Transversive Steps
Bungie/Activision
Transversive Steps increase your walking and running speed. As a bonus, your equipped Energy weapon will slowly reload while you are sprinting. Run speed may not be a sexy perk, but it’s very powerful for both PvE, and PvP.
The movement speed on these boots is easy to feel, more than any other speed upgrade in Destiny 2. If you are using them in PvE, your teammates will notice how much faster you rotate in the Royal Pools encounter. In the rest of the Leviathan raid, these boots will help you maneuver you way to victory. Mobility like this is criminally underappreciated in Destiny 2, as players stray away from these Exotics because movement speed is boring.
In PvP, you can reach Control points before your enemies, rotate faster than your teammates or just run up and melee someone very quickly. These should probably be your go-to Crucible Exotics.
Karnstein Armlets
Bungie/Activision
The Karnstein Armlets are gloves that increase your grenade, melee and class ability recharge every time you melee something. They also instantly restore a little bit of your health on each hit. If you wanted to turn your Warlock into a life-stealing Lich, these are the gloves for you.
Unlike Transversive Steps, Exotics that are hard to appreciate until you take them off and notice the difference, the bonus of Karnstein is instantly appreciable. Having more energy for your abilities and rapidly regaining health in combat is helpful in all activities.
Your playstyle will determine the power of the Karnstein Armlets. If you like to melee a lot as a Warlock, these will be invaluable. If you are more of a sniper, go for something you can use more frequently.
Lunafaction Boots
Bungie/Activision
When you put down a rift, the Lunafaction Boots will instantly reload your equipped weapon and those of your allies in the rift. Stepping out of the rift and back in will reload your weapons, too.
These boots are very good for PvE and situational for PvP. In the Crucible, you could be in a situation where you are able to Rift and take out an enemy, but that rare situation is not usually worth an Exotic slot. In PvE, especially in the Leviathan raid, these boots can be very powerful. If you are doing a damage section like Calus, the dogs or the censors, this Exotic becomes very helpful. If you have the freedom to walk off a rift and back on, you can increase your damage by quite a bit.
Unlike Transversive Steps or Karnstein Armlets, these boots are not great all the time. However, there are some places where these boots make the task at hand easy.
